Update about passports!

Starting in 2011, there is a new ticketing regulation that was passed by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). This new regulation mandates that the name on boarding tickets must match exactly what is listed on your passport or you may be denied boarding. Please double check that the fist name, middle name, and last name that students enter when they enroll matches what is listed on their passports. If you need to make any changes, please email Meghan LaVangie at mlavangie@explorica.com or call Explorica at 617-210-6142 the corrections or students can update their accounts online. All changes need to be made by our 99 day enrollment deadline.

Online Instructions:

a. participants log onto their Explorica account using their existing username and password

b. Go to the very top left of the webpage and click on the blue link titled “ My Account”

c. After the account information is pulled up, click on “ Update my Profile”, and then make the name correction

After our meetings two weeks ago, parents asked me several questions. It is still early to be able to answer them all but here is what I found out:

- Airfare : Explorica will use a major American airline. At this point, it is too early to tell which one as they do not book until three months in advance.
- Hotels : I posted examples of hotels where your children will stay on the stab website.
- Group that STAB will join: at this point, it is too early to tell but the representative assured me that all the groups of students who go to Europe are very well behaved and that discipline has not been an issue in the past.
- Registration: it is important to sign up as soon as possible in order to make this trip possible. Ideally, everyone who wants to go should be registered by the end of November.
